Allied Mechanical Partners with the Home Depot and Habitat for Humanity
The Home Depot Foundation’s Blitz Build was a smashing success! 250 volunteers started work on eight lots, to include framing four houses and landscaping the neighborhood for Sea Island, SC Habitat for Humanity. Sea Island Habitat for Humanity aims to eliminate poverty housing in the Lowcountry of South Carolina. The Home Depot Foundation, together with their vendor partners like Allied Mechanical, helps Sea Island Habitat for Humanity to build simple, decent housing.
Allied Mechanical’s Director of Service Operations, Jim Sutherland participated in this year’s event. “I can’t remember feeling more gratified after working that hard.” Jim said. “I can’t say enough about how impressed I was with The Home Depot Foundation. Not only their generosity to participate like this, but just the scale with which they made it happen. 250 people, all working as one. I can’t wait to participate again next year.”
